Objectives

City politics is an exercise in problem solving. In order to be a good councilman it is important to have a working knowledge of how the city operates. This knowledge is learned by serving through boards and commissions and developing relationships with those who are in elected and/or paid positions of leadership. This experience, along with interaction with citizens, allows one to make decisions with the best interest of Rockwall at heart. This is is my experience.

With that said it is important to understand what my objectives will be as a member of City Council. Those objectives are:

Leadership with No Hidden Agenda

When I am elected you can be assured that It is my intent to consider each and every issue that comes before me with equal attention. I have no hidden agenda and will make decisions based on what I think is in the best interest of all citizens. Each issue is of equal importance and will be treated that way.

Be Accessible

I will try to be accessible and listen to everyone who wants to communicate with me. I think it is important to know how citizens feel about issues that concern them. This includes issues that are both on and off the agenda. I will be your Councilman and your opinions count.

Be Fiscally Responsible

I have been a taxpayer in Rockwall for several years. Paying taxes is not fun but it is a fact of life. It is my intention to be responsible with the taxpayers money. Careful consideration should be given to any issue that involves spending money or raising taxes. I will not waste or be fiscally irresponsible with taxpayers money.

Quality of Life

Rockwall is blessed with trails, parks, water features, and open space, that increase everyones quality of life. As a park board member I was privileged to be part of the planning of The Shores Park, The 66 Boat ramp and pavillion, and the Park at Fox Chase, as well as the aquisition of the cities newest park in Northern Rockwall. These ammenities are needed and appreciated by it’s citizens. I want to ensure that this trend continues as Rockwall grows, and that all citizens experience the quality of life they expect and deserve.
